In honour of National Nursing Week, May 8-14, 2023, a group of nursing associations from across Canada have joined forces to launch the #HeyNurse social media campaign. This campaign is aimed at the public and gives them a chance to tell a nurse or a group of nurses how much they are appreciated for their work.

Is there a nurse you want to give a shout out to? Our shoutout is to the many nurses in long term care who are a critical part of the care team and together with CCAs and other support services provide a wholistic approach that delivers well being and quality of life to residents in nursing homes across Nova Scotia.

NHNSA salutes our many nurses in LTC and thanks them for their outstanding expertise, work ethic, passion and compassion. Our LTC nurses demonstrate a special calling and devotion to those living in long term care and are making significant differences in the lives of residents each and every day.
