Province Adding, Replacing More Long-Term Care Rooms (FULL LIST)

The Government of Nova Scotia announced in early December that citizens in the Annapolis Royal area will have more access to long-term care with the replacement and expansion of the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. The new home will include about 96 rooms, approximately 30 more than the current facility and is expected to open in 2032.

The Province recently announced that the new 48-room High-Crest Sherbrooke nursing home, scheduled to open in 2029, will provide care to an additional nine seniors. Each resident will have their own room and private washroom. This is part of a series of announcement by the government regarding new builds for LTC.

The Province of Nova Scotia has announced that citizens in the Tatamagouche area in need of long-term care will have access to modern spaces with the replacement of Willow Lodge home for special care. A new 96-room facility, scheduled to open in 2031, will provide care to 35 more residents.

The Government of Nova Scotia announced today that residents in and around Glace Bay in need of long-term care will have more access to modern spaces with the replacement and expansion of Seaview Manor.

The Province of Nova Scotia has announced that citizens in the Port Hawkesbury area will have access to new, modern long-term care rooms with the replacement and expansion of the local nursing home.

The Musquodoboit Valley Home for Special Care (Braeside) will be replaced with a 48-room facility, providing care for an additional 19 seniors. The Province of Nova Scotia says the new home is expected to open in 2032.

The Government of Nova Scotia has officially announced that people in and around Caledonia, Queens County, will have access to a new, modern long-term care facility with the replacement of the North Queens Nursing Home.

The Government of Nova Scotia recently announced that Kings County citizens will have more access to long-term care with a new, 144-room home expected to open in 2028. Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville is also being replaced with a new, modern facility, with about 144 rooms, expected to open in 2031.

More news from the Province of Nova Scotia on investments in long term care in the Truro area. The Mira nursing home will be replaced by a new facility with about 120 rooms, projected to open in 2032. The new Townsview Estates will include approximately 53 rooms, opening in 2031. These new builds will add an estimated 30 long-term care rooms in the area.
