ABOUT US
Bay Side Home is an inviting home overlooking the beautiful Barrington Bay. We are home to 62 residents and employ 160 care providers. Bay Side is guided by the Eden philosophy of care, providing an environment of exceptional long-term care, where residents enjoy a quality of life that enables them to reach their full potential. This philosophy meets the needs of the whole person-physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and social. Bay Side Home treats all who live and work at Bay Side Home with dignity and respect.
OUR PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
Bayside is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, with representation from the municipality and includes three neighborhoods, each containing their own kitchen, living room, and out-door courtyard. We have a large common room where we hold recreation events, a rehabilitation room, hair salon, green house and raised garden beds for accessible gardening as well as an out-door walkway surrounding our home. Our 16-passenger bus allow our residents to attend community events, shop and go for afternoon drives.
WE’RE SO PROUD OF…
Our New Horizons greenhouse enabled us to create a garden club where the residents meet to discuss what they want to grow but even more importantly it creates a great sense of purpose and adds meaning to their lives. They create hanging baskets and sell them to community and there is great enjoyment from eating fresh vegetables and the delicious hodge podge, chow and pickles from our fall harvest.
MEET SOMEONE SPECIAL
We are so fortunate to live in a community that always goes above and beyond. Community members donate gently used or new items, for the residents to purchase to our “Santa Shop” at a very low cost and all proceeds raised go to our Resident Council Fund. Our community donates an abundance of items, so many that our residents were able to purchase Christmas gifts for everyone in their family!
